iPad

So, I got an iPad.. After seeing those horrible billboards and bus stop ads, which looks like cheap pharmaceutical ads from Poland, I got put off the thing.. But I do need something on the go that is more flexible than a phone so I got a wifi one, as there's wireless everywhere these days, and if I'm desperate there's always my phone with 3G.

Waking up and checking my mails, reading some fast news and get the morning batch of initial work out of the way was soo nice to do sitting up in bed on my iPad. It was fun, easy and really pleasant. Much better than starting up a laptop or going to the stationary Mac. Also helps me wake up quicker as I can use my brain straight away and not snooze as normal.. Which I do love I must admit...


Here's a few opinions on it so far:

- the screen is great for movies, newspapers (NYT app is great) and images, if you are indoors. I tried typing this outside and the glaring and reflection from a glossy screen is horrible.. Same on most laptops.

- it's been on for 2 days and still got 9% left of the battery! It has been in active use for about 9 hours with the web, movies and music.

- call sheets, documents & invoices etc. are made with Pages, and PDFs works fine too. Also great as a instant portfolio.

- so tiny! Fits in my mini backpack and can really come with me anywhere.

- can't upload images to blogger(and any other websites) at the moment, so not good for those bloggers who actually blog.

UPDATE: NOW WORKS FINE W UPDATES THANS TO PHOTOBUCKET APP!

I love it and think with the new os4 and apps it will only become better and more useful. Almost completely replaces a laptop for normal computer usage, but obviously does not work with photography, which I have my laptop for.

Oh and when my friend tried the google voice search, and said "big tits", it searched "big ####". So the thing is child friendly, kinda..
