MIDSUMMER (Sweden)/St. HANS (Norway)

Today people celebrate midsummer and the kids get drunk, listen to pop and make out. I'm in concrete hell in the middle of London... and the weather is shit. Like always. This is the second summer I spend here and there isn't much feeling of summer.. From today it will get darker again, and all we had was a few days here and there with park fun... There is not any flowers, or smell of nature at all.. but.. I am flying to Norway for two days to DJ next week and I can't wait!

A DAY WITH VIKTOR & ROLF...

I had a marvelous day yesterday, working for Dacor/L'Oreal documenting Viktor & Rolf's big day in London, from morning to night... I'll write more later when I have rested.... or some other day!

Ok... so I have been very bad on writing lately.. but yesterday I went to Matthew Stone's new party in a run down members club in Dalston. It all reminded me of the illegal clubs I used to go to and occasionally work at back in Oslo. They sell drinks in white plastic cups, the toilets are dirty, the lighting is low and somewhere in the club there is a smell of moist floating around. You know the feeling of walking in to one. But this club also had a large assorted range of cd's and dvd's of reagge and uknown danchall with somehow eerie covers... so I guess it's normally not a club I would be prancing in to in a black patent top and a pair of heels.

But there I was, dancing around in a cheap drunken haze among dirty carpets.. Disco is the new electro and I love it (I blame Glass Candy and Jim Stanton). Todd Hart from the blog Dalston Oxfamshop and Trevor Jackson were DJing a soundtrack that I can imagine... actually is the music they play in the venue on a regular night. Pan flute samples that sounds like a frog type synths and guitars... Its all very much the 80's disco my dad loves.

I cant wait for the next one..
